27 grants grants completed from the voucher scheme implementation
The USAID Project Partnership for Better Business Regulation during 2018 successfully implemented the voucher granting scheme for helping companies from the field of textile and construction sector in the process of increasing their legal compliance with current legislation related to safety and health at work.
In two separate training cycles, a total of 189 professionals from 48 different companies were trained for conducting consulting services for users of the voucher scheme and were later contracted for realization of the services chosen. The providers were chosen by the grantees who were given a list of eligible providers to choose from.
A total of 27 grantees, 23 established companies and 4 startups used vouchers for consulting services up to October 2018, with a total value of 1.952.619 MKD, out of which 53% financed by the Project. Because of the successful implementation of co-financing services by giving grants and implementing the voucher scheme, the Project considers to open a new call for this granting scheme in 2019.
The next call for the voucher scheme is envisioned to reduce or fully eliminate sector-related criteria for the applicants and thus widen its scope in more sectors. Partnership for better business regulation will continue to support all companies through the voucher scheme, focusing especially on micro, small and medium-sized companies and startups.
The Project Partnership for Better Business Regulation is financed by USAID and implemented by EPI CENTAR International in partnership with the four Chambers: Macedonian Chamber of Commerce, Macedonian Chamber of Information and Communication Technologies – MASIT, Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia and Macedonian Chambers of Commerce.
